Rostock-Warnemünde 29th August 2008 – Today the NEPTUN WERFT started construction on the A-ROSA AQUA, a new river vessel for A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH.
The first steel cutting begins construction of the first of two identical A-ROSA cruise ships, which will join the A-ROSA fleet in 2009 and 2010, cruising on the Rhine, Main and Mosel.
The delivery of the A-ROSA AQUA is scheduled for the end of June 2009 while the second river cruiser, the A-ROSA VIVA, will be delivered in April 2010. Both river vessels are 135 meters long, 11.4 metres wide and have a draft of 1.6 metres. They can host up to 202 passengers in 99 separate cabins.
The A-ROSA fleet consists currently of six river cruise ships, which offer trips on the Danube and the Rhone/Saone.
