Construction mechanic, metal and steel construction with specialization in outfitting technology (m/f/d)
If you complete your training at NEPTUN WERFT as a construction mechanic in metal and steel construction with a specialisation in outfitting technology (m/f/d), you will learn how to install ship equipment components and hydraulic systems. We will teach you the basics of metalworking - drilling, thread cutting, cold and hot forming and the unwinding of geometric bodies. You will also be responsible for setting up, aligning and welding components and installing ventilation ducts.
After their apprenticeship, NEPTUN WERFT trainees have access to various further training opportunities.
You should have these skills
- A very good secondary school leaving certificate or higher
- Interest in working with tools and machines
- Technical understanding and spatial awareness
- Enjoy manual and technical work in a team
- Physical fitness and resilience
- Duration: 3.5 years with the option to shorten to 3 years
