Rostock-Warnemünde, 08th April 2005 – On Wednesday, the handover of two A-ROSA river vessels, the A-ROSA LUNA and the A-ROSA STELLA, to the A-ROSA Flussschiff GMBH took place at NEPTUN Stahlbau GmbH. After the managing directors of A-ROSA and NEPTUN exchanged the hand-over documents, the A-ROSA company flag was hoisted on both river cruisers.
Yesterday, a double christening ceremony took place at the impressive harbour of the Hanseatic city of Rostock.
The contract for the construction of the fifth and sixth river cruiser for the A-ROSA fleet was issued in January 2004 and the construction began in April and May. To date, all six A-ROSA river vessels have been built at NEPTUN Flussschiff GmbH.
These two new constructions will cruise on the Rhone but can also be used on the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. Both ships are 125.80 metres long and 11.40 metres wide. As their height has been adapted to passing bridges a completely new boat type could be developed.
The A-ROSA LUNA and A-ROSA STELLA can host up to 174 passengers and has spacious cabins for all amenities, such as sun deck, spa and fitness facilities, restaurants and bar, you'd expect from an A-ROSA River Boat. A special feature is the front deck with a generous shade plant, luxury sun chairs as well as bar and buffet facilities.
