Construction of Sixth TwinCruiser for Premicon begins

Rostock-Warnemünde, 20 September 2007 – NEPTUN WERFT has begun production of the first steel plate for the sixth TwinCruiser on behalf of Premicon AG in Munich. Klaus Hildebrandt, CEO of Premicon AG pressed the start button on the computer-controlled plasma torch, initiating construction.

The new river cruiser with the name Premicon Queen is an evolution of the latest successful generation of twin river cruisers and is characterized by the separation of drive and passenger units to achieve a high level of noise and vibration insulation. It is 135 metres long, 11.40 metres wide and driven by two rudder propeller systems. The Premicon Queen can host up to 106 passengers in 53 suites of various sizes. An additional 51 premium cabins feature floor to ceiling sliding doors.

This TwinCruiser will be cruising on all major European rivers. It is the twelfth cruise ship built in the assembly halls of NEPTUN WERFT since 2002.
