Viking simultaneously christened seven river cruise ships yesterday, Thursday, at various locations across Europe and Egypt. Among them were the following five ships, which were built at the NEPTUN WERFT:
Viking Halogi (S.595) in Rostock
Viking Sjofn (S.596) in Rostock
Viking Fjolvar (S.592) in Les Andelys
Viking Rota (S.593) in Amsterdam
Viking Haki (S.594) in Amsterdam
During a live broadcast from Rostock, NEPTUN WERFT employees gathered on the two river cruise ships, the Viking Halogi and the Viking Sjofn, to take part in the events.
“Today’s christening of the five river cruise ships is a cause for celebration and a testament to our shipyard’s capabilities,” comments Stephan Happe, Managing Director of NEPTUN WERFT. “The fact that we are able to deliver a total of eight ships this year is an achievement our team can be proud of. NEPTUN WERFT has a long-standing, trusting partnership with Viking. By 2028, we will build another eight ships for Viking, thereby making a significant contribution to the further development of their fleet.”
